Newcomers to Christ Church are made very welcome and if you are interested in joining us you will find a list of useful information below:
How to find us
Our church is located in central Bedford, in between Castle Road and Goldington Road. The building has easy access and reserved parking for wheelchair users. Most Sundays there is extra parking available to all visitors located in the close by Castle Lower School.
You can find a map, directions and a contact form here.
You can join us for a Sunday service at:
8:30am Holy Communion (1st, 3rd & 5th) or Morning Worship (2nd & 4th)
10:00 am All Age (1st), Holy Communion (2nd & 4th) or Morning Worship (3rd and 5th)
6:30pm Evening Worship - Encountering God through deeper worship, challenging teaching and space to respond.
At our 10:00am service each Sunday, everyone gathers together at the beginning of the service. After a short time of worship together, we divide into different teaching and worship groups as children up to school year 8 leave. Our crèche however, is available from the beginning of the service.
At all-age services, everyone stays together for the whole service.
Refreshments (hot and cold) are served after the 10.00am service and 6:30pm service.
We are proud to be a certified Fair Trade Church.
Our weekly news-sheet gives details of all important events happening in the near future and some guidance on topics for prayer.
You can join us for a Wednesday service at:
10:00am Holy Communion, with refreshments served afterwards.
Prayer Meeting: Every weekday mornings at 9am in church
Every Sunday at 6pm in room 4
In addition to our church services we also enjoy a range of social activities and we would be delighted to see you at any of these. Details can be found elsewhere on the website or obtained via the Church Office.
We seek to be a Church that is firmly based on the teaching of the Bible, to which we look for our final authority in matters of belief, doctrine, behaviour and ethics.
We are a family of faith, who meet together for teaching, for worship, for prayer and for encouragement. We desire to be outward looking and to serve our local community through both our care for others and our sharing of the good news of Jesus Christ.
It is our desire as a Church to enable people to know God and to love him, and under the power and guidance of the Holy Spirit, to live a life that reflects that love and that shares the good news of Jesus Christ with others.
What we stand for
Our vision is to be a Church that lives to love God. Our mission statement is ..."to enable everyone to be maturing followers of Christ, who experience and live out God"s love in every part of their lives."
